Accounting Specialist I

Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities
  • Processes accounts payable invoices with a 3-way match process. Matches PO, invoice and the receipt of material in Epicor (software) to verify correct quantity and cost.
  • Maintains accounting records.
  • Communicates with inventory and purchasing to correct discrepancies of pricing and quantities received.
  • Communicates with Suppliers with payment status or requesting invoices.
  • Runs reports in Epicor to verify entry.
  • Maintains and updates procedures and daily workflow for position
  • Ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Procedures and workflow maintained and current.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Professional communication. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Position is in an office environment and will require working on a computer most of the day. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms. Material Handler Shipping (STS Days

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Moves and stacks materials.
  • Performs receiving and pre-ship functions of all types of material. This would include duties such as verifying part numbers and quantities match the bundling sheets or BOLs.
  • Interacts with drivers picking up or delivering product ensuring the proper product is loaded and or received and paperwork is completed with proper documentation and signatures.
  • Operates material handling equipment to include but not limited to nail gun, banding equipment, radial arm saw, chop saw, chain saws along with other small hand tools.
  • Ensures quality of shipped items by verifying and identifying information and quality/condition of items as well as taking steps necessary to protect items from damage while they are being loaded and transported to vendors and customers.

Warehouse Spec (Part time Seasonal)

Responsibilities:
  • Summary: This part time position supports the receiving and shipment of Sabre Product to and from vendors and final delivery to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assists machine operators, welders, and other personnel in loading/unloading, transporting raw, in-process, and finished materials throughout the facility.
  • Identifies raw material needed to supply to production.
  • Uses heavy equipment such as overhead cranes to move various sizes of steel material such as plates and poles throughout the facility.
  • Stages all stock and manufactured steel plate, black or galvanized steel pipe to production.
  • Moves in-process and finished poles to appropriate areas.
  • Performs routine safety inspections prior to operating equipment.
  • Abides by all Safety Standards and Policies including use of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

    Responsibilities:
    • Operates CNC machine to produce component parts with minimal defects.
    • Performs daily required maintenance of machine and required trouble shooting skills.
    • Uses common shop mathematics to compute required angles and dimensions.
    • Reads tape measure, angle finder, and other necessary measuring devices.
    • Reads blueprints and flat sheets to lay out work within tolerances to ensure accuracy and to meet required specifications and department quality standards.
    • Adjusts settings on the machine to ensure proper positions meet tolerances and various specifications.
    • Uses overhead bridge cranes to load and unload machine, requiring acceptable levels of eye, hand and foot coordination.
    • Reads and understands labor reporting system, and uses same to report work accomplished, as well as any needed shop or productivity reports.
    • Uses all necessary safety equipment and procedures, to prevent injury to himself/herself or other personnel.

    • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

    Drafter I

    Responsibilities:
    • Position Summary:
      The Drafter I creates and checks different drawings used in the assembly of the towers and poles. This position also creates Bills of Material for accurate shipping and ordering of materials.
    • Responsibilities:
    • Creates and checks drawings for all aspects of the towers and associated components
    • Creates Bills of Material for each job.
    • Creates fabrication drawings for non-standard parts.
    • Troubleshoots production and field issues.

    Requirements:
    • Position Requirements:
    • 1-2 years recent experience in Drafting desired. Will consider recent college graduate.
    • Basic understanding of drafting principles.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD; Experience with Inventor or AutoCAD 3-D is preferred, but not required.

    Weld Coach (STP Nights)

    Responsibilities:
    • Responsibilities
    • Communicate with the Plant Managers, Supervisors and Weld Technicians regarding welding personnel who are having difficulties performing to STP standards.
    • Assist with the training of new employees and employees needing refinement or up-grading of certifications.
    • Assist and identify welding related issues (personnel, consumable or equipment related).
    • Ensure that all welding personnel are operating within the STP welding parameters for the procedures that are being used.

    • Summary: This position is responsible for operating an all-terrain forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stocking materials in accordance to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
    • Responsibilities:
    • Ensures quality of all shipping items by verifying and identifying information and quality/condition of items as well as taking steps necessary to protect items from damage while being loaded on trucks and in shipping containers.
    • Loads and unloads material in a safe and organized manner at all times.

      Welder (STS Days)

      Sioux City, IA

      Responsibilities:
      • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.
      • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
      • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
      • Adjusts welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
      • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published welding codes and specifications
      • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies in 1G and 2F positions
      • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood
      • Works in confined areas at various locations on the small pole assembly line as necessary to weld components described above
      • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
      • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications
      • Visually inspects his/her work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications.
      • Uses overhead cranes to transport and move material. Overhead crane training will be required.
      • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size, standard and metric
      • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules.
      • Corrects labor reporting in MES system to ensure operations are complete.
      • Assists fitter in assembling pole assembly when needed. Uses measuring tape, level, square and angle finder to measure distances and angles
      • Uses oxy-fuel cutting torch and plasma-arc torch for cutting steel.
      • Operates assembly line cart system to move tubular shafts into position for cutting on band saw and for fitting. Operates band saw for cutting tubular shafts according to specifications.
      • Maintains a clean work area.

      Requirements:
      • Mig welding experience preferred
      • Must have a basic math aptitude.
      • Must be able to determine amperage and voltage settings.
      • Must be able to determine weld size and amount of penetration.
      • Must be able to determine bend radius on arms.
      • Able to accurately use measuring instruments such as tape measure, heat stick-method (material temp.), weld bead gauge and metric gauge
      • Must be able to understand and communicate verbally in English language.
      • Must possess adequate dexterity and stamina to sustain expected production effectively.
      • Knowledge and awareness of the safety issues related to each operation performed within the department.
      • Must be able to stand 100% of scheduled shift. Must be able to use foot pedal to operate equipment.

      Maintenance Tech (Nights)

      Responsibilities:
      • Performs diagnosis, testing, disassembly, inspecting, repair and re-assembly of plant equipment or components such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic shear, vacuum equipment, roller leveler, cranes, electrical boards and components, etc.
      • Performs skilled trouble shooting and servicing of pneumatic and hydraulic components.
      • Performs proper replacement and/or adjustment of mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
      • Repairs worn parts, straightens and fabricates fixtures (welding, cutting, brazing, and surface hardening applications).
      • Assists junior personnel and operators in proper direction of equipment repairs.
      • Performs major and general repairs on all equipment.

      Long Seam Welder (STS NIGHTS)

      Sioux City, IA

      Responsibilities:
      • Under the direct supervision, the Long Seam Welder uses specified welding processes and procedures to achieve 100% penetration welds for specified lengths of each shafts seam within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications and drawings.
      • Responsibilities
      • Performs visual inspection of the entire length of each seam to identify areas requiring repair.
      • Reads and interprets drawings and/or computer print out "flatsheets" to determine requirement for 100% penetration welds.
      • Grinds and/or air-arc gouges areas as necessary in preparation for welding.
      • Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures.
      • Welds required areas, to obtain 100% penetration, using specified welding process (GMAW, and/or SAW,).

      • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules. Writes entries on daily production log to show work completed.
      • Uses overhead crane to position work in pole-rollers and to move completed poles to designated areas.
      • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
      • Visually inspects his/her work to assure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, and codes.
      • Assists and instructs other welders when needed to overcome deficiencies in quality and/or productivity.
      • Wears protective equipment including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves, and/or cape, face shield, and welding hood to protect himself from hot metal, arc rays, grinding debris, and other potentially harmful conditions.
      • Inspects end of poles for straightness and squareness of edge cuts. Trims and/or grinds as necessary, in order to leave ends suitable for shipment to customer, or for fit up base plates.
      • Uses power drills to drill and/or ream holes in pole sections as required by drawings.
      • Welds other products in his or her area using either GMAW process.
      • Assembles two piece developments.
      • Determines amperage and voltage settings, feed rate settings, required weld procedures, weld size and amount of penetration required.
      • Grinds and/or cleans seams to ensure the required penetration and necessary UT quality weld.
      • Performs daily, weekly, monthly operator preventive maintenance on seam weld machine.
      • Adjust amperage, voltage, speed rates, and machine pressures constantly throughout the welding process to compensate for variations from the cutting and bending operations and the material variations.

      Requirements:
      • Previous welding experience desired.
      • Math aptitude, must have knowledge of basic shop mathematics, addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication and decimals.
      • Proficiency in reading complex prints and specifications.

      • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
      • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
      • Adjusts welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
      • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published welding codes and specifications
      • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies in 1G and 2F positions
      • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood

      Painter (STS DAYS 1)

      Responsibilities:
      • Position Summary: Under the direction of the Superintendent and Lead person, the painter performs all duties involved in surface preparation (including shot blast, wrapping, and taping off), spray-gun application liquid coatings, and touch up required on products for shipment. The painter is also responsible for understanding and complying with safety and environmental regulations and policies as they pertain to the painting procedures.
      • Responsibilities:
      • oSets, operates and maintains shot blast and liquid coating equipment.
      • oMaintains complete records of all liquid paints and solvents used during each 4-hour period. Assures that painting volume is limited to appropriate levels to assure compliance with regulations and policies regarding emissions.
      • oMaintains compliance with regulations and policies regarding the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes.

      Responsibilities:
      • Reads and interprets order documentation
      • Performs quality checks on all materials being processed for orders
      • Verifies the correct part number and quantity of material matches
      • Verifies there are no defects in the craftsmanship of the material
      • Ensures material conforms to customer requirements for packaging and labeling
      • Photographs all packaged and staged materials prior to shipments
      • Performs other duties as assigned

      Requirements:
      • Effectively read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
      • Proven ability to accurately verify part measurements to blueprints using a tape measure.
      • Demonstrated ability to identify errors and apply corrective action to remedy the error
      • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and contribute to the success of the team
      • Must possess effective English communication skills including writing, speaking and reading.

      • Verifies and maintains inspection and test status of product during all stages of manufacturing, including receiving, in-process, final, and shipping.
      • Verifies rework and repair of nonconforming products.
      • Attends daily start-up meetings to review production schedule and receive daily job assignments.
      • Initiates requests for corrective action on observed conditions which do not conform to quality system requirements.
      • Prepares and reviews Quality records appropriate to inspection and test activities to assure legibility, completeness, and correctness of the information.
      • Uses various dimensioning tools such as tape measures, combination squares, levels, etc. when conducting dimensional inspections, and UT inspection tools such as UT Machine, transducers, straight beam, Shear Wave, etc.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:
      • At least QC Inspector A, QC Tech A preferred.

        Welder (mig)

        Sioux City, IA

        Responsibilities:
        • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.
        • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
        • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
        • Adjusts welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
        • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published welding codes and specifications
        • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies in 1G and 2F positions
        • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood
        • Works in confined areas at various locations on the small pole assembly line as necessary to weld components described above
        • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
        • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications
        • Visually inspects his/her work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications.
        • Uses overhead cranes to transport and move material. Overhead crane training will be required.
        • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size, standard and metric
        • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules.
        • Corrects labor reporting in MES system to ensure operations are complete.
        • Assists fitter in assembling pole assembly when needed. Uses measuring tape, level, square and angle finder to measure distances and angles
        • Uses oxy-fuel cutting torch and plasma-arc torch for cutting steel.
        • Operates assembly line cart system to move tubular shafts into position for cutting on band saw and for fitting. Operates band saw for cutting tubular shafts according to specifications.
        • Maintains a clean work area.
